Reagents

Proteome Sciences has developed the ‘Sensitizer® Family’ of reagents with a common feature: these increase the number of peptides and proteins that can be identified and quantified from complex protein mixtures. Whilst the ‘Sensitizer®’ feature is common to all the classes of molecules, the manner in which they achieve their effect is slightly different in each case, giving each member of the family a unique application.

Increased sensitivity of signal detection by MALDI-TOF by improved ionization of peptides and subsequent improved protein identification. CombiSensitizer™ tags unite peptide signal amplification with relative quantification.

Increased number of protein identification and relative quantifications by reduction of sample complexity.

Quantitative Protein Sequence Tags®
qPST

Isotopically labelled pairs of tags provide relative protein quantification.

Reagents to detect levels of impurity in synthetic oligonucleotides in RNA, RNAi, DNA, microarrays and QC in synthetic oligonucleotide production.

Some of these reagents are only provided through ProteoSHOP® strategic alliances. Licenses can be obtained for the isobaric Tandem Mass Tags® (TMT®) and the Veri-Q QC reagents/antibodies against the protecting/de-protecting groups for applications in antisense therapeutics and oligonucleotide diagnostics.
